Mods to a Roland PNC-3000 milling machine
Was lucky to get a Roland CAMM-3 PNC-3000 that was about to go to the scrapyard, and found it to be sturdy, very well made and a lot better designed than expected. It was released by Roland in 1986 as a small CNC milling machine, and it is still in a mechanically perfect condition. Got it without control board and tool height probe but in a near new condition. And all the dirty found under the bellows was milling wax.
Digital tachometer for the milling machine
As the Roland PNC-3000 has a structural headstock, and not a closed headstock, installing a digital tachometer is fairly easy. It was just needed to drill a hole for the hall effect sensor behind the upper spindle bearing.

Air and coolant hose for the milling machine
For the coolant hose to fit the Roland PNC-3000 milling machine, to save room and to keep the machine clean without plastic tubes around the spindle, decided to pass the plastic tube inside the headstock housing.
Made a part from hex brass stock threaded M8. On one side the M8 thread is to fix the coolant hose on the milling machine headstock housing with a M8 nut.
Removed the threaded end on the hose plastic connector and made a M8 thread on the inside of the plastic hose connector. On the front of the brass part that fix the coolant hose to the milling machine, a M8 thread fits the thread made on the plastic connector.
The brass part was drilled to 4mm on rear to fit the outer diameter of the plastic tube.

A led ring light for the milling machine
For the Roland PNC-3000 milling machine, have chosen a 100mm diameter led ring light, 12vdc powered. Made a housing in black plastic and a white plexiglass to soften the light and to protect it from dust.
Made the plexiglass ring on the lathe, to fit the plastic housing.
